Story: On the positive side, this movie ends the story on a more satisfying conclusion than the manga, and does a better job at keeping the story focused both in terms of the plot and tone. That said, the Koe no Katachi is dangerous because it is exploitative. I'm not going to pretend to know anything about deaf people. I don't. This movie certainly does not allow any greater understanding into the mind of deaf people is the point I want to iterate. 10/07/38 · A spoiler free review. The trailer makes it seem that it will be a simple love story--a romantic drama--but it is much more than that, and to put it in that category would be a disservice.
